Leila came in with big, beautiful, thick 4A curls that needed shape — not length taken off for the sake of it. Knowing her curls would shrink once hydrated and fully defined, we took a strategic, two-step approach.

We started with an initial cut to add shape and layering while preserving length. Once her curls were styled and dried, we refined the length based on how her curls naturally sat.
